Rediex, Paraguay's investment and export promotion agency, is on an official mission to Japan and Singapore. The delegation, led by Vice Minister Javier Viveros and Commercial Attaché Paola Subeldía Blasco, is engaging with financial sector representatives and business leaders interested in investing in Paraguay.
In Tokyo, Rediex officials met with Brian Blakely of IDB Invest Asia to discuss financing strategies for industrial growth. A significant topic was the TADAC Fund, a collaboration between IDB Invest and JICA that allocates USD 1 billion for sustainable projects in Latin America. Paraguay aims to be a priority destination for these funds, targeting sectors like infrastructure, energy, tourism, healthcare, the digital economy, and sustainable finance.
The Paraguayan team also had discussions with Riku Yazaki of the Yazaki Group. The company reaffirmed its commitment to Paraguay and explored expansion opportunities. Yazaki emphasized the strategic importance of its operations in South America and its interest in developing projects aligned with regional market trends.
Additionally, the delegation met ArkEdge Space leadership in Tokyo. The satellite manufacturing company showed interest in establishing operations in Paraguay. A potential partnership with the Paraguayan Space Agency could enhance the country's technological ecosystem and open new avenues in aerospace.
Through these strategic engagements, Paraguay is strengthening its position as a competitive destination for international investment focused on sustainable development and innovation.
