Future Biome wins FoodTech World Cup 2025 showcasing Uruguay's potential

Future Biome has been recognized as the world's leading startup at the FoodTech 2025 event held in Lausanne, Switzerland. The biotech company, which operates in Uruguay and Argentina, was honored for its innovative work on precision prebiotic fibers aimed at improving gut health.

The competition saw participation from over 100 startups representing 20 countries. From these, only 36 advanced to regional semifinals, with 10 making it to the final stage in Switzerland. A jury consisting of representatives from Givaudan and Nestlé Research and Development Lausanne selected Future Biome as the winner. This accolade underscores Uruguay's role as a reliable hub for developing cutting-edge solutions in health and wellness.
