Embraer is set to participate in DSEI Japan, scheduled from May 21 to 23 in Chiba City. The aerospace company will feature the KC-390 Millennium, a multi-mission medium airlift and tanker aircraft, as the highlight of its defense and security solutions portfolio.

Bosco da Costa Junior, President & CEO of Embraer Defense & Security, expressed enthusiasm about their presence at the event. "Embraer is honored to be at DSEI Japan, showcasing the capabilities and reliability of the KC-390 Millennium that attracted a growing number of operators around the world," he said. He also noted Japan's significance as a market for Embraer due to the growth of their commercial aviation's E-Jets over the past 15 years.

The KC-390 Millennium has been chosen by several countries for modernizing armed forces and enhancing interoperability. It is already operational in Brazil, Portugal, and Hungary, with orders from South Korea, the Netherlands, Austria, and Czech Republic. Sweden and Slovakia have recently selected it for national defense needs.

The aircraft boasts advanced features such as faster speed (470kts), extended range on a standard crew duty day, and higher cargo capacity (26 tons) compared to other medium-sized military cargo planes. Its design allows operations from short or damaged runways using IAE V2500 engines.

The KC-390 offers strategic and tactical capabilities that align with Japan's air mobility requirements. It can perform various missions including cargo transport, troop air-drop, aeromedical evacuation, search and rescue operations (SAR), humanitarian aid missions (HADR), firefighting, maritime surveillance support with air-to-air refueling capability.

With an impressive mission accomplishment rate of 99% coupled with low operational costs, its built-in multi-mission capability enhances readiness across different mission profiles by Air Forces globally.

Embraer's footprint in Asia Pacific includes operations in India Philippines Thailand Indonesia while South Korea awaits delivery soon reinforcing regional ties through aerospace solutions like those demonstrated at DSEI Japan which underscores commitment towards Japanese market long-term vision alongside modern aerospace benefits regionally too!
