Peru-based Camposol Holding, Ltd., recently named Manuel Salazar as its new CEO.
The company harvests, processes and markets high-quality agricultural products that are exported to Asia, Europe and United States.
Salazar is taking over for Samuel Dyer Coriat, who will remain executive chairman in the upcoming months to assist in the transition and then he will continue to serve as chairman for the board of directors.
"We are very pleased to have Manuel in our team, as he not only has the experience but also has the organizational, financial and commercial skills in order to help us achieve our vision to become one of the first five leaders in the world in the provision of healthy food," Coriat said.
Salazar comes to Camposol with more than two decades of experience in managerial roles for big companies. He has an extensive experience in leadership and operating in different markets. Salazar was most recently employed by Louis Dreyfus Commodities as the CEO of the agricultural trading company's Peru and Chile locations.
Salazar graduated from Clark University in Massachusetts with a bachelor's degree in economics. He also earned an MBA from Georgetown University in Washington DC and a Ph.D in management from the University of Lleida in Spain.
