Cricket Wireless said Monday it is expanding its international services, offering calling from the U.S. to nine more countries and unlimited talk and text to and from the U.S. to Canada.
Calls from the U.S. can now be made to the Dominican Republic, Colombia, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Honduras, Guatemala, Jamaica, Haiti and Nicaragua. Customers can call by adding the country of their choice to Cricket's Smart ($50) and Pro ($60) monthly plans. For an additional charge that varies from $10 to $15 per month, customers can add a range of mobile-to-mobile and landline calling minutes plus unlimited text, picture and video messaging.
Cricket also offers unlimited calls and text for U.S. and Canada. This enhanced roundtrip feature will be automatically included in Cricket's Smart ($50) and Pro ($60) monthly plans with no additional charge or enrollment. Primary usage must still be in the U.S.
The nine new countries join Cricket international calling list that includes Mexico, Cuba, Brazil, Singapore and Nigeria.
