Softcup now sold in Brazil

Softcup announced Wednesday that DKT International is the sole distributor of Softcup menstrual cups in Brazil, where they will now be sold under the name Prudence Softcup.

Softcup is a flexible cup worn internally around the cervix to collect, instead of absorb, menstrual flow. It's hypoallergenic, latex-free and reusable. The Softcup can be worn for up to 12 hours and is safe if used as directed.

DKT International creates and implements social marketing programs in 20 different countries to promote family planning and HIV/AIDS prevention.

"Including Prudence Softcup in our portfolio as a new alternative for feminine hygiene matches our mission to guarantee freedom and sexual pleasure for our consumers," DKT Brazil CEO Daniel Marun said.

Softcup Brand Director Kaitlin Ball traveled to Brazil to join the DKT team during the Softcup launch. DKT has planned an exclusive media event for Brazil's leading female reporters, journalists and bloggers in which two local OB/GYNs will introduce Softcup.

"We are thrilled that women in Brazil now have access to convenient 12-hour period protection with Softcup," Ball said. "We think this is a great market, not only for the product, but for our larger goals of empowering women to be free and fearless."
