Comtech EF Data Corp., a subsidiary of Comtech Telecommunications Corp., recently received a $1.4 million order for infrastructure equipment to be delivered to Latin America.
Based in Tempe, Arizona, Comtech EF will provide the equipment that a large mobile network operator in Latin America will use to upgrade its satellite mobile backhaul network. This will allow the network operator to improve its service offerings, prepare for growth in the future and support current subscriber growth.
The Latin American operator will combine a number of Comtech EF products, including CSAT 5060 C-Band Transceivers with NetVue Integrated Management Integrated Management System and CDM-625A/L Advanced Satellite Modems with DoubleTalk Carrier-in Carrier.
Additionally, Comtech EF will offer the operator its Engineering Support Services (ESS) Prime package, which is a premium service tailored to support mission-critical networks. ESS offers training, 24x7 engineering support, remote network performance review, program management and additional technical services.
"Our industry-leading solutions provide the horsepower, efficiencies and intelligence that are essential to today's mobile network platforms," Stanton Sloane, president and CEO of Comtech Telecommunications, said. "We are pleased that this Latin American mobile network operator will be able to expand its service portfolio and support its end-users with a heightened level of experience."
