Embraer Defense & Security is showcasing the KC-390 Millennium at the Special Operations Forces Week (SOF Week) conference in Tampa, Florida. The event, running from May 5 to May 7, marks the third stop of the KC-390's demo tour in the United States. This year is Embraer's first appearance at SOF Week, which serves as a key meeting point for special operators, industry leaders, and strategic partners.

A Brazilian Air Force-operated KC-390 will be displayed at Sheltair Aviation near Tampa International Airport during the three-day event. Visitors interested in viewing the aircraft can arrange transportation through Embraer's booth.

Jake Williams, Vice President of Business Development North America for Embraer Defense & Security, highlighted the aircraft's capabilities: “The KC-390 offers an unbeatable value proposition that combines rapid mission reconfiguration capability with the latest technology as well as increased speed in the air and faster turnarounds which translates to enhanced operational efficiency and low life-cycle costs.” He added that it suits special operations forces (SOF) missions due to its versatility in executing various tasks such as Air-to-Air Refueling and Agile Combat Employment.

The KC-390 is equipped with advanced sensors and communication systems ensuring connectivity between aircraft and ground troops. Its electronic warfare system enhances survivability. Designed as a multi-mission platform, it boasts a mission availability rate of 99% while maintaining low operational costs.

The aircraft’s design allows it to perform strategic tasks due to its turbofan range and speed while also handling tactical missions like precision airdrop or medical evacuation. It can conduct personnel airdrops from altitudes up to 36,000 feet and land on unprepared runways.

NATO members are increasingly selecting the KC-390 for their fleets; it's already operational in Brazil, Portugal, Hungary, with orders from several European countries including Sweden and Slovakia. South Korea has also opted for this model.

The KC-390 Millennium continues production with Full Operational Capability status available globally for immediate deployment against emerging threats.
