According to the Freedonia Group study Global E-Commerce, e-comLmerce sales in Latin Americatotaled $80 billion in 2018, accounting for 2% of the global total. Revenues are largely driven by Brazil and Mexico, which together accounted for 57% of the region's sales in 2018.

In comparison, e-commerce sales in the world as a total are projected to nearly double by 2023, expanding 13% annually to $6.7 trillion.
