EIM Capitol appointed J. Mike Stice to its Board of Directors in Mexico City Thursday.
Previously CEO of Access Midstream Partners, L.P., Stice also ran Chesapeake Midstream Development, L.P. and spent 27 years with ConocoPhillips.
"Mike is one of the most admired people in the energy industry, globally, in the U.S., and in academia,” Franco C. Hamdan, EIM Capital’s CEO, said. “His experience building out Chesapeake's midstream division around unconventional plays and his global experience will be invaluable. His belief in the future of Mexico from an investor and academic perspective is another vote of confidence in Mexico's energy reform. We are honored and enthusiastic to welcome him as the newest member of the team."
Stice has logged four decades in founding and managing international infrastructure operations, including shale oil & gas, LNG, onshore and offshore hydrocarbon transportation and storage. Currently, Mexico offers some of the world’s largest oil and gas reserves, inviting large-scale investment as production expands rapidly in the next five years.
"I am proud to join EIM Capital, with the shared goal of creating jobs and prosperity for the Mexican people through significant investment into a key industry,” Stice said. “I am impressed with the speed at which the Mexican government has advanced and the early success of the reform.”
