Precious and base metals company Batero Gold Corp. named Felipe Ferraro its president and CEO of the company Thursday.
Ferraro succeeds Roger Moss who will continue with Batero in the role of technical adviser and consultant. Ferraro is currently the general manager for Cori Puno SAC., which operates the Untuca open pit and underground mine in Peru.
Receiving a Master's degree in Business Administration from the University ESAN-Stanford University, Ferraro's professional experience includes mining, business, enterprise and metalworking industries, food processing and heavy equipment for earth moving.
"I believe Mr. Ferraro's significant experience in mining and project management will be an asset to Batero as we continue to move the company toward production," Batero Director Juan David Uribe said.
