Neogás, a Brazilian provider of natural gas services to energy consumers who lack access to a natural gas pipeline, named R. Paul Grady as its new CEO on Thursday.
Grady replaces João Bezzera, who was responsible for risk management projects across the organization.
Before taking the helm at Neogás, Grady was chief operating officer at AmeriGas, joining the fuels distribution company in 1990. There, Grady was responsible for operations serving approximately 2 million customers in 50 states from more than 2,000 distribution locations.
"Paul is an accomplished senior executive with a track record of leadership and results at major fuels distribution companies," Neogás Board Chairman Scott MacLeod said. "He brings to Neogás an extensive knowledge of the downstream fuels industry as well as a demonstrated ability to successfully lead, operate and grow large and mid-sized organizations with dispersed operations. We believe he is well equipped to lead the company in the next phase of growth in both our South American and North American markets.”
Neogás has operations in the United States, Columbia, Peru, Mexico and Brazil.
