According to a new industry report published by infoSource, document capture solutions are helping Latin American businesses simplify their labor-intensive and costly paper processes.
Sales of document imaging class scanners exceeded $1.19 billion in revenues and 900,000 unit shipments across the Americas last year, according to the report. The Unites States and Canada represent a large portion of the Americas’ scanner market, though shipments into emerging Latin American countries are on the rise.
"Despite variable conditions, new opportunities across Latin America are especially compelling," Mark Nicholson, infoSource service director, said. "Each country is evolving technologically and economically, and scanner manufacturers are vying to meet the new demand."
The comprehensive "state of the industry" report from infoSource covers document scanners across North and Latin America, including coverage of the United States, Canada, Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, Peru, Venezuela, and the rest of Latin America.
