General Tire launches new tire for Andean market

General Tire has officially launched a new tire, the Altimax XP7, for the Andean region, according to a press release from Continental Tire.

Continental Tire Andina held a special showroom event in Guayaquil recently to show off innovations and new technology used in its two brands, Continental and General Tire.

More than 200 distributors, brand reps and guests showed up for the event.

A special presentation showed off the new General Tire Altimax XP7, which has an extremely durable tread that increases mileage for the tire. The redesigned tread structure helps eliminate water from the tire area, offering better traction in both wet and dry conditions.

The Altimax XP7 will be exported to Andean region and countries such as Chile, Colombia, Venezuela and Peru.

"With the introduction of the new Altimax XP7 from General Tire, we can see the constant innovation in production processes, materials and compounds that we handle, with the aim of adapting to the growing needs of the Ecuadorian market, the Andean region and Chile," said Ferdinand Hoyos, CEO of Continental Tire Andina.
