The Zona 8 community concluded its vacation program, “Disfruta, juega y aprende,” on March 31 with a series of events focused on sports, recreation, and learning for children and adolescents.
The program aimed to provide a space for integration and personal development. Organizers said it offered a range of activities including sports tournaments, recreational games, and educational sessions that promoted values such as respect, solidarity, discipline, and teamwork.
Closing ceremonies took place at various educational institutions that served as venues for the program. Families, local authorities, and community members attended events featuring sports finals, dance therapy sessions (bailoterapias), exercise routines, artistic performances, and the awarding of medals to outstanding participants. These activities were intended to recognize the commitment and talent demonstrated by the children involved.
Participants spoke about their experiences in the program.
Parents also commented on the impact of the initiative. The free courses were highlighted as an important opportunity for safe access to quality activities during school breaks.
According to organizers from March onward nearly six hundred teachers led sessions across multiple disciplines in an inclusive environment with socioemotional support. The Ministry of Education reiterated its commitment to supporting child development through initiatives that foster learning in safe spaces.
