This year’s conference was organized by the IBA’s Latin American Regional Forum and Corporate and M&A Law Committee under the theme “Mergers and Acquisitions in Latin America — Building Bridges Through Business: Rethinking M&A in the Americas.” Participants addressed challenges related to mergers and acquisitions within current economic conditions. Panels covered topics such as competition law, cross-border transactions, dispute resolution, post-merger integration, energy infrastructure projects, natural resources management, technology impacts including artificial intelligence on corporate transactions, digital economy growth trends, Chinese investment roles in Latin America, sustainability considerations for investments decisions as well as social impact issues.
