Telco Cuba Inc. announced new updates from the company’s CEO and founder William Sanchez after meetings

this week in Cuba at the recently re-opened United States Embassy in Havana.

“Last week’s positive meetings we held in Cuba were capped off by Friday’s announcement that governments of both countries established new and deeper trade easement and embargo, allowing for the advancement of long-term sustainable business telecom opportunities in the country of Cuba by United States-based companies for the first time in over five decades,” Sanchez said.

While in Cuba, Sanchez met with Gilberto Torres, the U.S. Economics Officer at the United States Embassy in Cuba. Torres told Sanchez the U.S. government’s resources were at their disposal.

“Being early to the market gives us a big edge and we believe we are well-positioned to take advantage of today’s modern technology and mobility now opening up in a country where such a small percentage of people use mobile devices and/or are connected via a mobile Internet,” Sanchez said.
