The Superintendencia de Compañías, Valores y Seguros announced on March 27 that it will offer a free training session for compliance officers and legal representatives of companies about the requirements to implement mechanisms to prevent money laundering. The virtual event is scheduled for Thursday, April 2, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
The training aims to help organizations determine whether their business activities require them to appoint a compliance officer and understand the duties and responsibilities related to this role under current regulations. The session will cover topics such as prevention, detection, and reporting of unusual or suspicious transactions.
Interested participants can access the training through an online link provided by the institution. This initiative marks the first in a series of weekly sessions planned throughout April. Details regarding dates, times, and access links for future trainings will be shared via the institution’s official social media channels.
According to the announcement, these actions are intended “to strengthen a culture of compliance and transparency in the business sector.” The institution encourages companies to stay informed through its official communication channels for updates on upcoming sessions.
