Approximately 100 children from the communities of Beneditos and Sao Roque in the Cerro Negro municipality of Brazil will be taking part in a program that aims to provide children with educational activities and reduce the risk of social vulnerability.

The Youth in Action Program is being organized by the Votorantim Institute, a humanitarian department of the Votorantim Group, one of the largest industrial conglomerates in South America; the municipal government of Cerro Negro; and Baesa, a major energy generation company in Brazil, a Baesa release said.

Beneditos is working toward actionable goals, such as the construction of a sports court that had been postponed, and Sao Roque hopes to complete work on football field soon.
