On December 14, 2025, the Vice Presidency of the Republic is organizing a large-scale vaccination event for regular immunization and influenza targeting priority groups. The Ministry of Public Health (MSP) will deploy health teams at over 900 strategic locations across the country from 10:00 to 14:00.
The initiative, led by Vice President María José Pinto, focuses on children, adolescents, older adults, pregnant women, people with disabilities, and patients with chronic diseases. According to officials, this strategy addresses the increased circulation of the influenza virus typically observed between November and January. Outbreaks are most common from November through March as part of an annual cycle.
Authorities emphasize the importance of protecting children and adolescents through national vaccination programs to prevent illness and deaths caused by vaccine-preventable diseases or their reintroduction into the country.
“Getting vaccinated means saving lives—a better future for new generations!” said organizers. “That is our priority!”
