The Office of the Presidency and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in collaboration with Uruguay XXI, have extended an invitation to Uruguayan businesses to join the official delegation accompanying President Yamandú Orsi on a state visit to China. The visit is scheduled for February 3 to 7, 2026, with business-focused events planned in Beijing and Shanghai.
According to the announcement, the main agenda for the business delegation will take place on February 3 and 4 in Beijing and on February 5 and 6 in Shanghai. Organizers stated that further details about specific activities will be provided soon.
The purpose of this mission is to deepen economic ties between Uruguay and China, highlight opportunities for trade and investment from Uruguay, and encourage direct contact between Uruguayan companies and Chinese institutional as well as business representatives.
Participating firms are expected to cover their own costs for travel, lodging, local transportation, and other related expenses. Organizing bodies will offer guidance on flight options and hotel accommodations to help with logistical planning.
Interested companies must submit their registration by January 16, 2026.
