Tonicorp has concluded the first edition of the Tonicorp Nutrition Academy, a program that brought together over 60 nutrition professionals in Ecuador. The initiative aimed to foster learning and collaboration with a focus on science, innovation, and well-being.
The academy was created to bridge scientific knowledge with daily practice and strengthen the role of nutritionists as agents of change. Participants received training in digital communication, evidence-based nutrition, and nutritional labeling from academic and scientific experts.
Support for the program came from several universities, including Universidad Católica de Santiago de Guayaquil, Universidad de las Américas, and Universidad de Especialidades Espíritu Santo. According to Tonicorp, this collaboration between business, academia, and associations helped enhance knowledge sharing and generate social impact. The closing event featured activities such as a live podcast, smoothie-sharing sessions, and a yogurt lab.
With this initiative, Tonicorp reaffirmed its commitment to ongoing education in nutrition. “We reaffirm our commitment to continuous training and our purpose: ‘To always feed your desire to grow,'” the company stated.
Key participants included Carlos de la Torre (General Director of Tonicorp), Alexandra Bajaña (Director of Outreach for the Nutrition Program at UCSG), Sofía Sierra (Manager of Communication and Sustainability at Arca Continental), José Jouvin (Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences at UCSG), Martha Celi (Director of the Nutrition Program at UCSG), Martha Ríos (nutrition expert), and Belén Andrade (nutrition expert and content creator).
