Sintana Energy said Thursday that drilling and casing on its Manati Blanco-1 exploration well in Colombia Block VMM-37

in the Magdalena Basin
has reached a depth of approximately 14,500 feet.

Further analyses will be performed to evaluate the potential of the block.

Drilling on the well began in April and aimed at the La Luna and

Tablazo/Paj Cretaceous-age

oil formation.

“The safe and successful completion of Manati Blanco-1 drilling operations is a major milestone for Sintana in this initial exploration phase of the VMM-37 work program,” Sintana CEO Douglas Manner said.

Sintana Energy said further updates will be made as more information becomes available.

Sintana Energy explores and develops petroleum and natural gas in Colombia’s Magdalena Basin. The company’s strategy is to acquire, explore, develop and produce superior quality assets with significant reserve potential.
