A technical team from the Export Support Directorate of Rediex visited Achón Industrial SA to provide initial support for the company’s internationalization process. The visit focused on strengthening the export capacity of Paraguay’s productive sector.
During the meeting, participants discussed key aspects of exporting, such as identifying required documents, logistical issues, regulatory requirements, and practical recommendations for managing business in international markets. Achón Industrial expressed its interest in expanding into new markets and agreed to continue receiving guidance from Rediex during subsequent stages.
Achón Industrial SA has been active in Paraguay for over 70 years. Founded in 1954 as a small carpentry workshop, it has grown into a leading manufacturer of furniture and home goods with more than 200 employees and modern manufacturing facilities. The company aims to create environments that offer unique experiences while positioning Paraguay as a competitive supplier in the region.
Representatives from Achón Industrial at the meeting included Martha Villalba (Operations Manager), Alejandra Carvallo (Head of Foreign Trade), and Juan Orué (Production Manager). Rediex was represented by Marisol Muñoz (Head of Business Development Service Department) and Óscar Barreto (Sector Specialist for Auto Parts and Assembly).
The meeting resulted in an initial roadmap for Achón Industrial’s entry into international markets. According to Rediex, this effort “reaffirms Rediex’s commitment to supporting Paraguayan companies in their process of entering global markets, through technical advice, business intelligence and strategic linkage with international buyers.”
