Students, teachers, and families in Quito gathered at schools to celebrate Christmas and the end-of-year festivities. School communities used the occasion to promote values such as solidarity, peace, respect, generosity, and gratitude.
At Unidad Educativa Pichincha in the parish of Lloa, over 130 children and adolescents participated in a Christmas program that featured dances, storytelling, puppetry, and other traditions. The event was attended by María José Moyano, Subsecretary of Education, who took part in the activities.
“You girls and boys are the heart of our schools and the future of this New Ecuador. Every smile, every act of affection and every gesture of respect makes our community stronger and more united,” said Subsecretary Moyano.
Similar events were held at other schools throughout Quito. Organizers noted that these celebrations help renew hope among students and reinforce community ties. The Ministry also emphasized its ongoing commitment to comprehensive education focused on values.
The Subsecretariat of Education, Sports and Culture in Quito extended greetings to all students, teachers, and families for a peaceful holiday season filled with joy and unity.
