Paraguayan officials met with business leaders in Valencia as part of an official mission to Spain. The delegation, led by Javier Viveros, Vice Minister of REDIEX, and Commercial Attaché Natalia Cáceres, attended a business meeting at the Confederation of Businessmen of the Valencian Community (CEV).
The meeting was organized by CEV and included its Director of International Relations, Ricardo Miralles, and Secretary General Inmaculada García. They welcomed the Paraguayan representatives and facilitated discussions with associations from sectors such as textiles, footwear, metalworking, and wooden furniture manufacturing.
The main aim was to highlight Paraguay’s competitive advantages and investment opportunities under the Paraguay 2X Plan. This plan is designed to double the country’s GDP, promote industrialization, and create jobs.
Currently, trade relations between Paraguay and the Valencian Community involve about 222 Valencian companies exporting goods to Paraguay while 52 import Paraguayan products. By September 2025, bilateral trade figures showed that Paraguay imported almost USD 10 million in goods from Valencia. In contrast, Paraguayan exports to Valencia amounted to USD 2.5 million. Key products exported from Paraguay include wood and wood products, seeds, fruits, and grains.
According to officials at the meeting: “This meeting reaffirms the commitment of the Government of Paraguay to promote the attraction of foreign investment and strengthen the presence of Paraguayan products in European markets, consolidating business ties that contribute to sustainable economic development.”
