Northwest Pipe Company is rebranding its Mexican facility as North American Pipe Fabricators.

The facility is located in Monterrey, Mexico.

“We look forward to supplementing our core business in the water infrastructure market and are excited for this opportunity for growth with both our current customers, as well as new specialty contractor customers,” Scott Montross, president and CEO of Northwest Pipe Company, said.

The facility was built in 1999 and has operated as a manufacturing plant with steel fabrication. The rebranding will see its focus turn to the fabrication of carbon and stainless steel pipe, which will be used for treatment plants and pump stations in the U.S.

Northwest Pipe Company is the largest engineered steel pipe manufacturer in North America. The company has eight water transmission facilities. It is seeking to add to the facilities so it can meet the need for North America’s growing wastewater and water infrastructure needs.

Corporate headquarters are located in Vancouver, Washington, but the company keeps manufacturing plants across the U.S. — and one in Mexico.
