Nobel Agri names presidents for South America, global sugar

Nobel Agril announced Marcelo de Andrade as its new global sugar president and Valmor Shaffer as its South America president.

Both will be based in Sao Paulo, Brazil, and report to CEO Matthew Jansen.

Andrade has more than two decades of experience in the commodities sector. Previously, he was sugar and ethanol business director at Cargill, where he generated more than $270 million in revenue.

Shaffer was South America president at ADM. He started his career in Brazil and has significant experience in grains and oil-seeds area.

“We are delighted to welcome executives with Marcelo and Valmor’s deep experience in the commodities markets,” Jansen said. “Both will add management strength in units that are critical to our growth strategy.”

Noble Agri is an agri-business company with operations in 29 countries. Last year, the company registered $14.9 billion in sales.
