La Usina de Emprendedores, an initiative by the Cámara Argentina de Comercio y Servicios (CAC), held the award ceremony for its seventh Concurso Emprendedor 2025 at Espacio Chutro. The event recognized entrepreneurs from across Argentina and received support from companies including AlbaCaución, Andreani, Droguería del Sud, and Grupo Dietrich.

This year’s competition attracted 52 applications nationwide. Of these, 25% came from Buenos Aires province, 17% from the City of Buenos Aires, and 11% from Córdoba. The most represented sectors were technology (26%) and triple impact businesses (19%).

Javier González Pedraza, director of La Usina, opened the event highlighting the importance of these projects in generating quality employment and their export potential.

The first prize was awarded to NoBac for its new water treatment system aimed at providing sustainable filtration solutions for domestic use to families or community groups without access to networked water. Gabriela Delgado, founder of NoBac, stated: “In many communities, rural and peri-urban, access to safe water remains a critical need. Developing NoBac involved overcoming a very long process of certification, laboratory testing and field trials, but it was totally worth it. Winning this contest is a huge joy: it gives us very valuable professional support and allows us to cover part of our production costs, which is a great relief and an incentive to keep moving forward.”

Pastech won second place for its work in developing technology for efficient grass management in agriculture. María Alejandra Marino, co-founder of Pastech said: “This recognition is a huge boost to continue innovating in smart grass management by developing technology to transform livestock systems. Receiving this award motivates us to continue developing solutions that help producers make better decisions, optimize pasture use, improve rural work conditions and move toward more efficient and sustainable livestock systems. Technological innovation plays a key role in the future of agriculture and for this reason we thank the Cámara Argentina de Comercio y Servicios for valuing the work of those who undertake ventures in agtech.”

The third prize went to Sentinel for its early wildfire detection system. Members of Sentinel commented: “This recognition means so much to us. Sentinel was born with the conviction that technology can make a difference against wildfires—a problem that each year threatens more communities, ecosystems and families throughout the country. Receiving this award energizes us as we begin 2026 even more committed to our purpose. Initiatives like Concurso Emprendedor are essential for supporting teams working towards a safer and more sustainable future—and making visible solutions that aim for real impact on the ground. At Sentinel we always say: ‘fire does not wait; neither do we.’”

Guillermo Dietrich (vice president II CAC), Virginia Marinsalta (director at AlbaCaución and CAC), and Gisela Greco (commercial manager at Andreani) presented the first prize during the ceremony.
