On December 24, 2025, the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, through the Investment and Export Network (Rediex), awarded singer-songwriter Iván Zavala the Paraguay Country Brand license. The recognition highlights Zavala’s role in promoting Paraguayan music internationally.
During the award ceremony, Javier Viveros, Vice Minister of Rediex, emphasized that Zavala’s renditions of Christmas carols have reached audiences in over 40 countries. Viveros stated: “Today we celebrate Iván Zavala becoming a Brand Ambassador for Paraguay, representing us and carrying the Paraguayan brand to the highest levels throughout the world.”
Zavala expressed his appreciation for the honor. “Receiving this Country Brand certificate makes me very happy; it’s a recognition of my entire career and also a great boost to be able to take my songs abroad,” he said.
Zavala has performed on international stages and is seen as an important cultural figure for Paraguayans living abroad. In October, he released his fourth studio album titled “Based on True Events” at Casa Colombo.
The Ministry of Industry and Commerce, through Rediex, acknowledged Zavala’s appointment as ambassador of the Paraguay Country Brand as a step toward sharing national identity with wider audiences through music.
