The International Society for Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research announced  on Wednesday an agreement with CAC, an organization within the Colombia Ministry of Health, dedicated to addressing issues surrounding the significant budget impact of high cost diseases in the country.

“The partnership with CAC is an important step in supporting the development of sustainable health care systems throughout Latin America,” ISPOR CEO and Executive Director Nancy Berg said.

Berg also said the partnership aligns with ISPOR’s Strategic Plan, Vision 2020.

“Vision 2020 guides the Society to collaborate with global, regional and local organizations that share a common mission,” Berg said. “Through this new partnership, ISPOR and CAC will collaborate with other stakeholders in developing a plan to disseminate information, educational materials and decision-making tools on health economics and outcomes research throughout the region.”
