ID Global Solutions announced Thursday that it has acquired the Colombian company MultiPay SAS.

“We are excited to move ahead with the acquisition of MultiPay SAS in Bogota, Colombia, and expand our payment technology portfolio,” ID Global Solutions CEO Thomas Szoke said. “Our entry into this new business vertical – multifunctional payment processing – gives us a significant foothold in the secured processing payment industry.”

MultiPay provides information technology services, specializing in transaction-processing technology that includes payment gateways, stored value card programs, and mobile financial solutions. Its areas of service include Peru and Columbia.

ID Global recently set aside an approximate $900,000 in order to expand its presence and operations within both the biomertrics industry and the secured payment processing market.

The corporation specializes in both payment systems and implementing biometric security and identification measures. They are headquartered in Longwood, Florida, and have facilities for manufacture and engineering activity in the U.S., Europe and South America. They state that the MultiPay division of the company will continue to operate in Peru and Columbia.

Cards Plus, based in South Africa, and ID Solutions Inc. are two subsidiaries that operate under ID Global Solutions. The former specializes in the manufacture of plastic cards used for payments and the latter specializes in biometrics technology.
