Embraer has announced its membership in the Polish New Mobility Association (PSNM) as part of its efforts to advance sustainable aviation. The collaboration aims to decarbonize air transport, focusing on regional aviation, which is seen as a critical area for developing low-emission mobility.

The partnership aligns with global and European climate goals targeting carbon neutrality in transport by 2050. This includes initiatives such as the development of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF), new propulsion technologies like electric and hybrid flight systems, and enhancing operational efficiency across the sector.

Aleksander Rajch, a member of PSNM’s Management Board, expressed optimism about Embraer’s involvement: “We are pleased to welcome Embraer among the members of PSNM. It is a serious partner whose experience and advanced technologies have real potential to accelerate the transformation of the aviation sector. Regional aviation can become a pioneer in emissions reduction thanks to shorter distances, flexibility, and openness to innovation.” He noted that with passenger numbers expected to double by 2045, decarbonization efforts are urgent.

Marie-Louise Phillippe from Embraer highlighted the company’s commitment: “Building on Embraer’s more than 25-year presence in Poland, we are strengthening our commitments and contributions to the sustainable development of aviation through this partnership with PSNM. As a leading aircraft manufacturer, we are working on the development of modern technologies aimed at reducing the aviation industry’s carbon footprint.”

The International Air Transport Association (IATA) projects that by 2050, CO₂ emissions could be reduced by up to 65% through SAF use alone. New propulsion technologies could contribute another 13%, with additional reductions from improved operational efficiency and offset mechanisms.

Embraer’s membership in PSNM opens avenues for collaboration with Polish institutions and technology companies. The goal is to develop solutions that support sustainable air connections in Poland and Central and Eastern Europe.

PSNM plays a significant role in shaping Poland’s electromobility market. It integrates key players from various sectors involved in sustainable transport.

Embraer is recognized globally for its aerospace manufacturing capabilities across multiple sectors including commercial jets where it leads as an exporter from Brazil.
