Diego Santilli was sworn in as Argentina’s new Minister of the Interior during a ceremony at the Salón Blanco of Casa Rosada. President Javier Milei administered the oath, officially bringing Santilli into the national cabinet to lead institutional relations and coordination with provincial governments.
Santilli’s appointment aims to strengthen mechanisms for collaboration between national and provincial administrations. The role also involves consolidating federal relations according to executive priorities and promoting agreements needed to advance the government’s reform package.
“The designation of Diego Santilli as minister of the Interior has, among other objectives, those of carrying out an institutional agenda that allows strengthening the mechanisms of articulation with provincial governments, consolidating federal relations within the framework of priorities set by the Executive Power, and promoting necessary consensus to deepen the package of reforms that the national government seeks to implement,” according to an official statement.
