Corporación Nacional de Electricidad (CNEL EP) has opened a new customer service agency, Plaza Shiva, in Durán. The new office is located at the Durán Business Center on kilometer 3.5 of the Durán–Tambo road.
The agency aims to improve service coverage and reduce response times for around 151,888 customers in the Durán area. It covers approximately 240 square meters and includes a waiting area for 32 people and an estimated operational capacity to serve 50 users at a time. The office operates from Monday to Friday, between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., with security services coordinated between CNEL EP and the business center.
Elías Bustos, administrator of the Guayas – Los Ríos business unit, said: “This agency responds to a technical plan aimed at decentralizing service, optimizing user flows and improving response times in the canton of Durán.”
Ángel Erazo, general manager of CNEL EP, stated: “The institutional vision is focused on permanently modernizing citizen service and guaranteeing reliable and efficient electric services, in line with national government policies, promoting continuous improvement and timely attention for all users.”
Initially, Plaza Shiva will operate four service modules with plans to expand as demand increases.
In addition to its physical offices, CNEL EP continues to provide customer support through various channels including WhatsApp Chatbot (099 907 9212), online services at www.cnelep.gob.ec, social media platforms X and Facebook, as well as its Call Center (1800 263537). These options are intended to offer timely information and facilitate transactions or inquiries for customers.
