Cemex granted CEEDA certification

Cemex, a building materials company with offices in 50 countries, received the Certified Energy Efficient Datacenter (CEEDA) Gold Certification Tuesday for its data center after a four-months evaluation process.

Cemex is the first company in America to receive the recognition, the highest distinction for energy efficiency strategy in the data center industry.

“We are very honored to receive this certification, which recognizes and reinforces our company’s commitment to sustainability,” Cemex Vice President of Information Technology Roberto Chaverri told Latin Business Daily. “At Cemex we perpetuate a philosophy of continuous improvement that is reflected in all of our business processes and operations.” 

The CEED certification aims to recognize companies with energy efficiency best practices and comprehensive data center management of facilities and IT services.

The certification expires after two years.
