On Sunday, November 23, 2025, Corporación Eléctrica del Ecuador (CELEC EP), through its Transelectric business unit, will conduct scheduled maintenance at the Nueva Babahoyo substation in Los Ríos province.
According to CELEC EP, “The objective is to improve the quality of the electricity service and guarantee continuity of supply in the area of influence.”
To carry out these activities, there will be a restriction of electric service from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. The affected areas include several cantons in Los Ríos province—Babahoyo, Baba, Montalvo, Urdaneta, Puebloviejo, Palenque, Ventanas and Vinces—as well as Alfredo Baquerizo Moreno (Jujan) and Tres Postes in Guayas province.
