The Argentine Chamber of Commerce and Services (CAC) recently held a training session focused on the new tax amnesty program introduced by the Buenos Aires City Legislature. The event, titled “Moratoria AGIP: beneficios, plazos y condiciones,” was organized by the CAC’s Tax Affairs Commission.

Daniel Calzetta, president of the commission, opened the session by addressing recent regulatory changes. He stated, “The Buenos Aires City Legislature passed Law 6.842, which establishes a broad amnesty for all local taxes. At CAC we consider it essential to spread information about this tool so that taxpayers can regularize their tax situation and access the benefits provided.”

Representatives from the Buenos Aires Government Revenue Administration (AGIP), Sebastián Torrillas—deputy director general of Revenue Systematization—and Daniela Liello—head of Procedures and Management Department—provided details about the main aspects of the regime.

Torrillas highlighted that the new amnesty offers significant tax relief through substantial waivers of interest and fines. He emphasized that it is an inclusive system covering all taxpayers and noted that applications are fully online and self-managed to ensure easy and direct access.

Liello addressed common questions during her presentation, offering technical and operational clarifications to help with proper implementation of the program.
