The Argentine Chamber of Commerce and Services (CAC), the Argentine Confederation of Medium Enterprises (CAME), the Union of Argentine Commercial Entities (UDECA), and the Argentine Federation of Trade and Service Employees (FAECyS) have signed a new collective bargaining agreement for the retail sector.
According to the agreement, employees will receive a non-remunerative fixed sum of 60,000 pesos each month in December, January, February, and March as compensation. This payment will be made monthly and will end with each respective payment. However, the last installment for March 2026 will be added to base salaries at its nominal value starting in April 2026.
Additionally, the parties agreed to extend until March 2026 a previously established non-remunerative fixed sum of 40,000 pesos. This extension maintains the same terms as those agreed upon on June 26, 2025.
The agreement is effective from July 1, 2025, through April 30, 2026. The parties have also committed to meet again in March 2026 to review any economic changes that may occur during this period.
It was clarified that these salary increases do not apply to wage agreements made in Río Grande city in Tierra del Fuego province. However, once approved by authorities, these increases will set the minimum conventional salary for all other areas.
“The agreed increases are not binding for salary agreements that may be signed within Río Grande city in Tierra del Fuego province; however, once ratified by authorities, they constitute the minimum conventional amount in effect,” stated representatives involved in the negotiation.
