The Argentine Chamber of Commerce and Services (CAC) recently held the final meeting of its Board of Directors for the year at its Espacio Chutro educational center. The event gathered representatives from companies and sectoral and territorial entities across the country, along with invited authorities, members, and coordinators from the institution’s advisory commissions. Natalio Mario Grinman, president of CAC, opened the session with a review of current affairs and recent developments in various areas of the organization, including its educational initiatives.
Dante Sica, economist, former Minister of Labor and Production, and founder of consultancy ABECEB, was invited as a guest speaker. Sica analyzed Argentina’s political and economic landscape at the start of President Javier Milei’s second half in office. He highlighted anti-inflationary measures as central to government policy, ongoing transformations in the country, changes in consumption habits and trends, and discussed upcoming challenges such as supporting improvements in micro-level competitiveness.
Sica stated: “It is increasingly important to look at the international context. In previous years it did not have as much impact on Argentina because we were very closed off due to many restrictions. Today we must take international context into account.” He also identified accelerating investment as essential for 2026 to continue recovering activity and consumption.
