ANCAP is conducting scheduled maintenance on its offshore petroleum buoy and the pipeline that crosses the bridge over Route 10 in La Barra, Maldonado. These activities are part of the company’s preventive maintenance program.
At the offshore petroleum buoy, ANCAP is moving forward with the third phase of repairs to the Pipe Line End Manifold (PLEM), a structure located underwater at a depth of 20 meters and 3,600 meters from the coast. Maintenance and inspection work is also being carried out on the valves of the pipeline at both ends of the La Barra bridge.
Both operations are being performed with water-filled pipelines as a safety measure to reduce operational and environmental risks during execution. According to ANCAP, these measures are intended to ensure safety standards and minimize any inconvenience for local residents.
“ANCAP coordinates these tasks seeking to minimize any possible disturbance for the population and guaranteeing the highest safety standards, in line with its commitment to responsible operation and care for the environment,” stated an ANCAP representative.
The company confirmed that traffic flow in the area will not be affected by these works. The interventions are part of ANCAP’s ongoing technical monitoring process and infrastructure integrity management plan.
