Air Liquide, one of Coca-Cola’s largest bottlers, will be expanding its business into the Latin American market.
It will build a new cogeneration and carbon dioxide unit, in order to help meet the demand of Coca-Cola in Latin America.
Air Liquide’s new facility is set to launch its production toward the end of 2016.
Coca-Cola operates its largest bottling facility in Colombia, called FEMSA. Air Liquide will provide nitrogen, refrigerated water, carbon dioxide, steam and compressed air to FEMSA, which is located in Tocancipa, Cundinamarca, 40 kilometers north of Bogota.
Latin America is one of the fastest growing markets in the world. Colombia is Latin America’s fourth largest economy. It is known for its expansive manufacturing and industrial business, as well as a large amount of natural resources.
Air Liquide will bring on 30 new employees at its facility that is set to be located in the FEMSA Industrial Park, part of the park’s Permanent Free Trade Zone.
Air Liquide also provides gases to two of Coca-Cola’s bottling plants in Brazil.
