SkyWest, Inc. Orders 19 Additional E175s

Embraer and SkyWest, Inc. have announced that they have signed a firm order for 19 Additional E175s.

SkyWest Airlines, Inc, will fly these new aircrafts. SkyWest Airlines, Inc, is a subsidiary of SkyWest under a Capacity Purchase Agreement (CPA) with Delta Air Lines.

"We thank SkyWest for the continuous trust in Embraer and its products," President & CEO of Embraer Commercial Aviation Paulo Cesar Silva said. "This partnership has been very successful and we look forward to it continuing for many, many years."

The new E175s will be configured in a dual class 76-seat layout and will be equipped with 12 First Class seats each. The new aircraft will also feature 20 Delta Comfort+ seats and 44 Main Cabin seat.

We remain impressed with Embraer's E175 product and are pleased to advance our Delta partnership with these aircraft," SkyWest, Inc. President Chip Childs said.

All the aircrafts will operate under the Delta Connection brand.

The new aircrafts will feature a wingtip that improves aerodynamic performance on a typical flight, with fuel consumption being 6.4-percent lower than first-generation E175s. The E175 is the preferred aircraft of carriers operating 76-seat jets in North America, and since 2013, over 80% of orders among aircraft in its class from airlines in the United States have been the E175.
