Unify, a top communications software and services firm, recently announced that Francisco Pinto Neto is its new vice president of channels for Latin America.

This is an important time for Unify, as it is transitioning into the worldwide, channel-centric, go-to-market approach.

Neto’s new responsibilities include the channel business in Argentina and Brazil. He will also be entirely responsible for Unify’s business in Columbia, Mexico, Peru and Chile.

"I am thrilled about this opportunity to continue Unify's channel strategy in Latin America," Neto said. "Unify has a solid channel partner program and has been working strongly in the region to develop new channels. We have already come a long way in this direction, but there are still a lot of opportunities ahead."

Neto brings 25 years of experience to his new position. Previously, Neto worked at Silver Peak Systems as the vice president of sales. He has also worked at Sonicwall, 3Com Corporation, AudioCodes, Philips Electronics, Toshiba and Riverstone Networks.

"Latin America represents a significant opportunity for Unify, and it is crucial that we continue strengthening our channels in Brazil and other parts of the region," Jon Pritchard, executive vice president of channels at Unify, said. "Francisco has deep experience in the channel, and we look forward to him continuing to develop our partner base and expand our business in Latin America."
