The Sociedad Rural Argentina announced on March 19 the passing of Carlos Guerrero, a figure recognized for his longstanding commitment to agricultural excellence and genetic improvement in Argentina.

Guerrero’s legacy traces back to 1879, when Charles de Guerrero introduced the Angus breed to Argentina, establishing one of the oldest cattle ranches in the world. The Guerrero family has maintained a strong dedication to genetic advancement and productive excellence across generations, values that Carlos upheld with dedication.

Within Sociedad Rural Argentina, Guerrero held several roles including Secretary, Director of Genealogical Records, Full Member, Alternate Member, District Member, and member of the Audit Committee. His active participation reflected his commitment to the organization and its mission.

The presence of the Guerrero family at Palermo’s central arena became a symbol of tradition and achievement in Argentine agriculture. Their consistent recognition through numerous awards over the years highlighted their influence in the field.

Sociedad Rural Argentina extended condolences to Guerrero’s family and loved ones during this time. The organization acknowledged his life as one dedicated to rural development and lasting contributions to Argentine agriculture.
