Six Flags Entertainment Corporation said recently it will open a water park in Oaxtepec, Mexico.

Located in the Mexican state of Morelos,

Hurricane Harbor Oaxtepec water park will be developed on a 67-acre site that has been off limits to the public for many years. The park will feature water slides, rides and attractions for the whole family to enjoy. There will also be a variety of food options.

“We are very excited to bring the Six Flags experience to other parts of Mexico,” Six Flags International Development Company President John Odum said. “Our theme park in Mexico City is one of our fastest growing and most beloved parks, and we look forward to offering guests thrilling Six Flags memories at the new Hurricane Harbor Oaxtepec water park for years to come.”

Hurricane Harbor is expected to open to the public early next year. Mexico’s National Social Security Entity accepted Six Flags Entertainment Corporation’s public bid to open and operate the water park.
