Roberto Kury, Minister of Telecommunications and the Information Society, was part of the official delegation that accompanied Ecuadorian President Daniel Noboa during the visit of Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, to Ecuador on March 1.
The official agenda took place at the Carondelet Palace following a floral tribute by the Crown Prince at the Independence Monument in Quito’s Plaza Grande. President Noboa, Foreign Minister Gabriela Sommerfeld, and Defense Minister Gian Carlo Loffredo also participated in this ceremony.
Minister Kury joined official activities at the Government Palace, greeted members of the United Arab Emirates delegation, and attended meetings held in the Cabinet Hall. He was also present at a ceremony where the Crown Prince received Ecuador’s National Order of Merit with the rank of Grand Collar.
As part of this visit, Kury supported efforts to strengthen bilateral relations between Ecuador and the United Arab Emirates. The focus was on cooperation in telecommunications, digital transformation, and technological innovation. According to his role as director of Technological Transformation in Ecuador, delegated by President Noboa, Kury emphasized these areas as priorities for future collaboration.
