Rethink Robotics has established a distribution agreement for both the Sawyer and Baxter robots with Nexon Automation and InterLatin in Mexico.

The association is part of Rethink’s growth plan that seeks to create distribution partnerships aiming to expand their presence in other countries. By implementing flexible and affordable automation, the robots help companies improve the production process.

“Nexon Automation and InterLatin are key partners in pushing our smart, collaborative robots to the Mexican market, which has one of the largest manufacturing sectors in Latin America and is continuing to see significant growth,”

Rethink Robotics CEO and President Scott Eckert said. “We are already experiencing substantial interest from Mexican manufacturers as well as from our global customers with facilities in Mexico.”

Eckert said the Sawyer and Baxter robots create a variety of new opportunities for manufacturers to improve their businesses through automation and human-robot collaboration.

“Our customers have specifically asked about collaborative robots, and we are eager to begin offering Baxter and Sawyer,” Nexon Automation’s Raul Romero said. “We are seeing the difference that Rethink’s robots are making for manufacturers in the U.S., and we know that companies in Mexico will be thrilled to realize the same results.”
