Peruvian Consulate in Denver participates in humanitarian resources fair for migrants

The Consulate General of Peru in Denver took part in the Humanitarian Resources Fair organized by the Village Exchange Center on September 24. The event aimed to provide free services to improve the quality of life for Peruvian migrants living in Denver.

A total of 16 organizations attended the fair, offering support in areas such as health, education, culture, social assistance, food banks, legal and humanitarian aid, integration, employment, language learning, and financial services.

According to a statement from the consulate: “Nuestra Misión Consular ofreció a nuestros compatriotas información sobre los servicios consulares de apoyo y promoción que ofrece, así como asistencia legal. También se entregó material sobre los derechos de los migrantes y sobre la prevención de la violencia de género y la trata de personas.” This translates to: “Our Consular Mission offered our compatriots information about the support and promotion consular services it provides, as well as legal assistance. Material was also distributed regarding migrant rights and on the prevention of gender-based violence and human trafficking.”

Consulate officials also provided attendees with cultural materials related to the Peruvian Film Festival and shared information about the potential for a direct air route between Denver and Lima.
