The Presidency of the Council of Ministers announced on March 1 that all 19 Citizen Service Improvement Centers (MAC) across the country are operating normally and maintaining regular hours during the ongoing energy emergency. The government said these centers continue to serve citizens in accordance with established regulations.

The MAC centers provide access to more than 650 procedures from various state entities, including the National Superintendency of Migration, the National Registry of Identification and Civil Status, and the National Superintendency of Customs and Tax Administration. Services available at these locations include payment of fees at Banco de la Nación, enrollment in Comprehensive Health Insurance, obtaining police, judicial, and criminal background certificates, as well as issuance of electronic passports.

Citizens can find their nearest MAC center by visiting www.mac.pe. For questions about services offered at MAC centers, people can contact ALÓ MAC by calling 1800 from a landline or mobile phone any day between 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m., including holidays.

The announcement aims to reassure citizens that essential government services will remain accessible despite the current energy situation.
